2026 Indiana Preseason MaxPreps Top 25 high school football rankings

Brownsburg is the early No. 1 after winning state and going 14-0 in 2025.

State champion Brownsburg enters 2026 as the top-ranked team in the MaxPreps preseason top 25 for Indiana.

The Bulldogs defeated Westfield 38-31 to capture the IHSAA state championship. Illinois State commit Oscar Frye returns at quarterback after completing 60 percent of his passes for 2,505 yards and 29 touchdowns in 2025.

Other players to watch from the Hoosier State this season include five-star senior Monshun Sales of Lawrence North (Indianapolis), a wide receiver committed to Indiana and linebacker Sean Fox of Warren Central (Indianapolis), a four-star committed to Kentucky.

Reigning Indiana state champions include New Palestine in Class 5A, Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger (Fort Wayne) in Class 4A, Cascade (Clayton) in Class 3A, Andrean (Merrillville) in Class 2A and South Putnam (Greencastle) in Class 1A.
