Prospect Report Card
High school record/path: Wagler had a career high school record of 80-16 although he played sparingly during his freshman season. He led Shawnee Mission Northwest to back-to-back state titles in 2023-24 and 2024-25. The 2023-24 group went 25-0 in the process of winning the program's first state title.
Stats/accomplishments: Averaged 12.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest as a junior before increasing his tallies to 18.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists per outing as a senior en route to winning MaxPreps Kansas Player of the Year honors.
Outstanding achievement: Posted career-highs of 32 points and 14 rebounds in a 64-60 victory over Olathe North during his senior year. He also posted a triple-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in a 86-65 win over Shawnee Mission East.
Needs work: Some poor shooting performances raise cause for concern around his efficiency as a scorer, including a game that saw him shoot just 2 of 16 from the field in an overtime loss at Michigan State.
Best fit/likely landing spot: Likely to be selected in the 5-7 range of the draft, Wagler is currently mocking to the Los Angeles Clippers at No. 5. Wagler could provide an instant spark to the backcourt alongside 26-year old, two-time All-Star Darius Garland.
