Both teams enter with a 4-0 record and will be renewing acquaintances for the fifth time in the past five seasons. Thomas County Central has beaten Lee County in three of those four previous meetings, including a 35-21 victory in 2025.
Wide receivers
Jabari Watkins of Thomas County Central and
Jaden Upshaw of Lee County caught touchdowns in that game and are back for more this week.

In California, No. 25
De La Salle (Concord) takes on No. 20
Centennial (Corona) Saturday at California Memorial Stadium, where Cal plays its home games.
Senior UCLA commit
Duece Jones-Drew stars for De La Salle on both sides of the ball but really shines at running back just like his dad, averaging 7.2 yards per carry.
Centennial (2-2) has navigated a daunting schedule thus far with losses to nationally-ranked teams in
Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) and
Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.).
St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, N.J.) and No. 24
Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.) are both coming off wins heading into the MaxPreps Game of the Week.
Don Bosco Prep (4-0) has been efficient this fall, averaging 5.7 yards per carry while quarterback
Carson Schoen is completing 71.4 percent of his pass attempts. Defensively the Ironmen are led by a freshman in
Davion Mims, who has three interceptions this season.
On the opposing sideline, St. Joseph Regional is also led by a freshman in
William Mitchell at quarterback. The Green Knights haven't lost since Mitchell became the starter in the third game of the season.
Read on for a complete look at this week's biggest games.
