High school football rankings: North Crowley jumps in this week's MaxPreps Top 25 after dominant 42-17 win over Waxahachie

North Crowley (Fort Worth, Texas) added another impressive win to its resume Friday night with a dominant 42-17 victory over previously-undefeated Waxahachie (Texas).

The Panthers have three wins over top 100 teams and each of them have come by 17 points or more. As a result, North Crowley jumped four spots to No. 14 in this week's MaxPreps Top 25 high school football rankings.

Kiante Ingram had a huge night for the Panthers, rushing 21 times for 166 yards and two scores. G'yrell Smith added nine carries for 121 yards and three touchdowns. Jacob Torres had a perfect night completing all 11 passes for 215 yards, including an 83-yard touchdown to Damarion Mays. In California's Trinity League, No. 3 Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita) and No. 8 St. John Bosco (Bellflower) both cruised to wins last week setting up a huge showdown Friday at Panish Family Stadium.

Santa Margarita (7-0) took down Servite (Anaheim) 27-3 while Bosco beat Orange Lutheran (Orange) 28-14 for its sixth win in a row.

Head coach Carson Palmer's Santa Margarita team has won 13 in a row dating back to last year with the last loss coming to St. John Bosco, which has beaten the Eagles 16 times in a row dating back to 2011.

In Florida, another huge matchup features No. 6 Columbus (Miami) and No. 22 Central (Miami) on Friday in the Greater Miami Athletic Conference Championship.

Columbus has won five in a row by an average margin of 42.8 points per game since a loss to No. 1 St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale). Central's lone loss came to No. 5 Buford (Ga.) on the road. The Rockets have ripped off four straight wins by an average margin of 42 points a game.

In Georgia, No. 11 Carrollton hit the 60-point mark for the fourth time this season in a 62-24 win over Douglas County (Douglasville). Sophomore running back Nick Archer had a huge performance rushing 31 times for 325 yards and four scores. The Trojans have one of the most prolific offenses in the country averaging 55.6 points per game.

The St. James Performance Academy (Springfield, Va.) responded after a tough 44-42 loss to IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) with an impressive 28-20 win over St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, Md.). The Panthers jumped out to a 17-0 lead but the Strivers scored 28 unanswered to secure their biggest win in the program's two-year history. Junior quarterback Kash Carter threw for three second half touchdowns.

St. Frances Academy dropped 13 spots to No. 15 in this week's MaxPreps Top 25. The St. James isn't under consideration for inclusion in the rankings because the athletic program admits post-graduates though the 2026 football team reportedly does not have any post-grad players.
