MaxPreps 2016 regional high school football computer rankings

The regional rankings were back to normal this week with none of the five regions seeing at change at No. 1 in the MaxPreps regional football computer rankings.

Last week the southwest saw a change at No. 1, but previous to that the regional rankings had not see a change at the top for the two previous weeks.

DeSoto is No. 1 in the southwest, Colerain is No. 1 in the midwest, IMG Academy is No. 1 in the south, Bishop Gorman is the top team in the west and St. Joseph's Prep is No. 1 in the northeast.

The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps National Football Computer Rankings, presented by the Army National Guard. For the purposes of these rankings, the country is broken down into five regions:

West: California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Hawaii, Alaska and Montana.

Southwest: Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma,and Texas.

Midwest: Arkansas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

South: Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C.

Northeast: Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware and Vermont.


West
