In order to capture a state championship in just the fifth season since its school opened, Syracuse must find a way to contain the explosive Jordan offense featuring sophomore sensation
Austin Kafentzis. If there is any defense in Utah capable of making that happen, it might be Syracuse. On average, the Titans (12-0) have allowed less than 10 points per game this season and last week held Bingham (South Jordan) to less than half its season average in a 21-16 semifinal victory.

Led by Kafentzis' 208 passing and 128 rushing yards with two total touchdowns, the Beetdiggers rolled past defending 5A champion Lone Peak (Highland) in the semifinals. Kafentzis now has 2,776 passing yards and 1,841 rushing yards and 52 total trips to the end zone this season.
