For the first time all season, the MaxPreps Top 10 Games of the Week is zoning in on nothing but in-state showdowns.
Five teams that made it in the latest Xcellent 25 rankings are included in this week's preview. The top-rated team on our docket is No. 3 DeMatha, which will take on fellow unbeaten Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.) in a key matchup in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference.
In the lone meeting among nationally ranked teams this week, No. 4 St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) travels into Orange County to play No. 19 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.). The winner will be considered the team to beat the rest of the season in the demanding Trinity League.
