Donte Ferrell of
Woodward (Cincinnati, Ohio) is high school football's national leader when it comes to receiving yardage with 1,455 yards on the year, according to statistics submitted to MaxPreps. The 6-foot-3 junior holds a 207-yard cushion on his nearest competition after reeling in nine passes for 129 yards over the weekend.
Having gone over 100 yards in seven of eight games this fall, Ferrell has already posted three games of 220 yards or more and scored twice in each of those contests for the Bulldogs.
Crew Erickson of
Wasatch (Heber City, Utah) averages close to 160 yards a game receiving and sits in the second spot with 1,248 receiving yards. The 6-1, 185-pound senior has done his damage by reeling in 93 passes and scoring 13 times. He has gone over 100 yards in seven straight games and scorched Maple Mountain for 16 catches and a season-high 237 yards and three scores in a 55-17 win in mid-September.
Holding down the No. 3 spot is
Tate Kjar of
Corner Canyon (Draper, Utah) with 1,203 yards receiving so far. The 5-9 junior has 78 catches on the year and has reached the end zone 12 times.
