 or better en route to scoring an Ohio-leading 21 goals in wins over

His 45 points ranks No. 1 in the state as well.

SWBL history and 43rd girl in state history to surpass 500 career saves 
with 13 in a 1-1 tie against Lakota East. Followed that with 
back-to-back shutouts in wins over Edgewood and Miamisburg. Her 508 
career saves currently ranks 41st in Ohio 
history. 
* Peyton Jackson, Fairland (Proctorville) 
FootballSenior completed 14-of-22 passes for 363 
yards and five TDs in a 40-35 win over Gallia Academy. Has thrown for 
1,354 yards and 18 TDs this season. 
 
* Andrew  Rusnak, Madison Boys 
SoccerSenior had seven goals and three assists in a 
15-0 win over Lakeside and five goals and an assist in a 13-1 win over 
Conneaut. Has 26 goals and eight assists this 
season.

VolleyballSenior had 26, 23 and 22 kills last week 
in matches against Logan, Vinton County and River Valley. She has 309 
kills this season (ranks 16th in Ohio) and 1,071 for her career.

SoccerSenior had five goals and an assist in a 6-3 
win over Wellington. Has 25 goals, six assists and 56 points this 
season.

yards and four TDs I a 38-20 win over Chesapeake. 
 
* Kendall Hanlon and Natalie Rice, Western Brown (Mt. Orab) Girls 
SoccerHanlon, a freshman, had eight goals and three 
assists in a 17-0 win over Wilmington. Rice, a senior, had six goals and
 two assists. Hanlon has 22 goals and 11 assists this season, while Rice
 has 20 and 10, respectively.

doubles state championship match. Chabria and Bilgin won their school’s 
third doubles state championship and first since

GolfSophomore shot four-under-par over two days to 
set the OHSAA D-I individual state tournament record and tie the overall
 record at the girls golf state tournament on the Gray Course at The 
Ohio State University. Hammond’s 136 (rounds of 67 and 69) matches the 
136 (68-68)that Eaton’s Sarah Willis shot at the 2016 D-II state 
tournament. The previous Division I state tournament record was set by 
Katie Hallinan from Cincinnati Walnut Hills with a 137 (68 and 69) in 
2017.

SoccerSenior had five goals and an assist and four 
goals and two assists in wins over Fairless and Northwestern, 
respectively. Her 61 goals and 146 points both rank No. 1 nationally. 
 
* Gavin Richards, Nelsonville-York 
FootballSenior had 23 tackles and four TFL and 
carried the ball 24 times for 128 yards and two TDs in a 20-12 win over 
Belleaire. His 189 tackles this season ranks third nationally. 
 
* Braylon Martinez, Hopewell-Loudon (Bascom) 
FootballJunior ran for 151 yards and four TDs on 19 
carries and caught two passes for 55 yards and a TD in a 46-14 win over 
Montpelier.  
* Landon Haas, Tippecanoe (Tipp City) Boys 
SoccerJunior had three goals and four assists in a 
win over Brookville and the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Oakwood. Has 27 
goals and 24 assists this season. 
 
* Wyatt Keyt, West Jefferson 
FootballJunior carried the ball eight times for 98 
yards and three TDs and caught eight passes for 72 yards and two TDs in a
 45-14 win over Grove City Christian. Also had four tackles and two TFL.

FootballSenior set the school record for TDs passes 
in a season in a 49-0 regional quarterfinal win over Bethel-Tate. 
Completed 15-of-24 passes for 292 yards and five TDs, which gives him 24
 for the season. Has also rushed for 916 yards and 17 TDs this season.

CountrySophomore won the OHSAA D-III cross country 
state meet by setting a divisional state meet venue record with a time 
of 15:23.1.

won the OHSAA D-III cross country state meet by the slimmest of margins 
(17:55.0-17:55.10) over two-time winner Caleigh Richards of Maplewood.

 carried the ball 23 times for 238 yards and four TDs and caught two 
passes for 12 yards and a TD in a 41-21 win over Lowellville. Also had 
three tackles and two TFL. Has rushed for 1,676 yards and accounted for 
202 points this season (28 TDs and 17 2-point conversions). 
 
* Olivia Heitkamp and Melina Schrader, New Bremen 
VolleyballHeitkamp (senior) had 55 kills, and 
Schrader (junior) had 86 assists, as the Cardinals defended their D-IV 
state title with two four-set wins over Shenandoah and Tiffin Calvert in
 the state semifinal and final, respectively. Heitkamp ends her career 
with 1,147 kills, 387 digs and 258 blocks. Shrader has 2,352 assists, 
478 kills, 232 aces and 528 
digs.

BasketballSenior hit 12-of-15 free throws and 
dropped 35 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and five steals in a 53-35

sacks and returned an interception 49 yards for a TD in a 55-7 D-II 
state semifinal win over Anderson.

fumble and a fumble recovery in a 7-2 OHSAA Division II state 
championship win over Akron Hoban that secured the Tigers first football
 state title since 1970 and first-ever under the current bracket format.
  
* Michael Osborne, Versailles 
FootballSenior tallied game-highs in rushing yards 
(131), passing yards ( 124) and tackles (15) in a 32-15 loss to Kirtland
 in the OHSAA D-V state championship. Also ran for TD, threw for a TD 
and forced a fumble.  
* Brandon White, St. Edward (Lakewood) 
FootballSophomore carried the ball 32 times for 235 
yards and three TDs as the Eagles beat Springfield, 31-21, for the third
 consecutive season in the OHSAA D-I state 
championship.
* Brayden Richards, Perry FootballSenior 
carried the ball 11 times for 124 yards and a TD, completed 3-of-4 
passes for 61 yards and a TD, caught two passes for 46 yards, returned a
 kickoff 13 yards and had eight tackles (five solo) as the Pirates won 
the program’s first ever football state title with a 21-14 win over 
Liberty Center in the OHSAA D-V final.

BasketballSenior had 39 points and 23 rebounds in a 
55-23 win over Ponitz and 19 points, 18 rebounds and six assists in a

House Girls WrestlingJunior won the 
130-pound title at the Walsh Ironman via decision (6-0), pin (5:50), pin
 (1:21) and pin (3:26).

BasketballSenior had 39 points, 13 rebounds, seven 
steals and five assists in a 75-61 win over Harding and 42 points, 16 
rebounds and seven assists in an 83-66 win over Maplewood.

BasketballSenior and Purdue-Fort Wayne recruit broke
 his own single-game scoring record and the program’s all-time assist 
record en route to being named MVP of the PS Holiday Tournament. He 
scored 45 points and set the assist record in an 80-22 semifinal win 
over Tri-County North and had 29 points, including his team’s final 10, 
in a 62-56 championship game win over Valley View. Averaging 23.4 
points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists. 
 
* Ernie Pryor, Orange (Pepper Pike) Boys 
BasketballSenior had 36 points, 13 rebounds and 
three assists in a 62-47 win over Chagrin Fallas and 39 points, eight 
assists and five rebounds in an 81-76 loss to Avon Lake. Also had 22 
points, seven rebounds and five assists in a 45-37 win over Rocky River.
 Averaging 20.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists. 
 
* Evan Gentile, Fairmont (Kettering) Boys 
BasketballJunior scored a game-high 26 points as the
 Firebirds rallied from an 11-point first quarter deficit to snap 
Centerville’s 43-game GWOC win streak with a 62-52 win at CHS. Averaging
 17.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists.

BasketballSenior and Wright State recruit hit 12 
3-pointers en route to scoring 53 points in an 84-61 win over Ashland. 
That’s the fourth highest tally in school history and the highest point 
total since 1957 when Ohio State legend and five-time NBA champion Larry
 Siegfried scored 60, 58 and 58 in a 
game. 
* Grady Labishak, Bishop Rosecrans (Zanesville) Boys 
BasketballSenior broke two school records when he 
hit 11 3-pointers en route to dropping 54 points in an 85-40 win over 
Fairfield Christian. Shot 11-of-15 from 3. 
 
* Wyatt Walker, Edgewood (Trenton) Wrestling 
Two-time state qualifier won his third straight Ron 
Masanek Fairfield Invitational title with a dominating performance at 
215 pounds. He won his four matches via pin in 0:51, 1:41, 0:53 and 
1:07, respectively.

1,000-career points in a 58-52 win over Edgewood. He is just the fifth 
player in program history (school’s first team was 1919-1920) to surpass
 1,000 points.

BasketballSenior eclipsed 1,000-career points in a 
73-62 win over Beaver Local.

for his career and broke his own single-game school scoring record with

SwimmingSenior and Northwestern recruit captured 
titles in two events at the prestigious Southwest Ohio Swimming 
& Diving Classic. He won the boys 1,650-freestyle with a time of
 15:39.73, which was 15 seconds better than the runner-up. Also defended
 his title in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:00.14.

Bellefontaine Iron Maiden Tournament. She went 4-0 and won 12-1 in the 
final.  
* Colin White, Ottawa-Glandorf Boys 
BasketballSenior and Ohio State recruit scored 17 
points (and had 12 rebounds, eight assists and five steals) in a 73-44 
win over Van Wert to become Putnam County’s all-time leading scorer in 
boys basketball with 1,694 points (and 
counting).

program’s all-time leading scorer with 1,421 points (surpassed Jagger 
Landers) in a 65-41 win over Montpellier. Averaging 18.5 points, 9.7

BasketballSenior dropped 26 points in a 70-39 win 
over Westland to become just the second player in program history to 
surpass 1,000-career points.

over Van Buren to become the program’s all-time leading scorer. He 
currently has 1,329 points. The previous record of 1,324 points was set 
by Dan Hipsher in 1973.

Ater, Jonathan Alder (Plain City) Girls 
WrestlingSenior became the first girl in program 
history to record 100 career wins with a victory in a dual versus Marion
 Harding.  
* Jace Wood, Brookville Boys 
BasketballSenior hit 17-of-21 shots, including 
5-of-8 three-pointers, en route to dropping 43 points on Oakwood in an 
87-70 win. Also had five rebounds and three assists. Followed that with 
22 points, five rebounds and three assists in an 84-52 win over Valley 
View. Since starting 7-5, the Blue Devils have won eight of their last 
nine. Over that span, Wood has averaged 21.5 points. He’s averaging 18.6
 points on the season. Headed to Huntington University to play 
basketball in college.

points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 3.0 steals. Is the program’s 
all-time leading scorer with 1,931 points.

program’s first state champion. Went 45-2 on the season.

HockeySenior had three assists in a 6-4 state 
semifinal win over Toledo St. Francis and two goals in a 4-1 state final
 win over University School. Finishes the season with 24 goals and 57 
assists.

BasketballSophomore had 47 points and 39 rebounds in
 her two D-II state tournament games as the Gators beat Fairland 53-52 
in the semifinals and lost 79-52 to Purcell Marian in the

& FieldSophomore helped the Spartans claim 
the team title at the Twin Valley South Fred Durkle Invitational by

place relays (800 and 1,600). Broke the school record in the 400 as a 
freshman when she also ran legs on VV’s state qualifying 800 relay and 
state-placing (third) 1,600 
relay. 
* Grace Harris, Northeastern (Springfield) 
SoftballSenior went 3-for-5 with three home runs, 
seven RBI and four runs in a win over Fairlawn. Also went 2-for-2 with a
 home run, five RBI and a run in a win over Mechanicsburg. Batting .441 
with five home runs, 19 RBI, 15 hits and eight 
runs. 
* Kole Maxwell, St. Paul (Norwalk) 
BaseballSenior struck out 20 of the 29 batters he 
faced, walked two and allowed two hits in a 6-4 win over Western 
Reserve. Earlier this season he struck out 13 in 2-1 loss to 
Hopewell-Loudon and K’d 10-of-13 in an 18-1 win over New London. Has a 
0.84 ERA and 43 Ks this season. Career totals are 185 Ks and a 1.62 
ERA.

* Gabrielle Gradishar, Champion (Warren) 
SoftballJunior ran her home run streak to eight 
straight games at the plate and recorded two no-hitters, including a 
perfect game, as a pitcher last week. She struck out 10 in a five-inning
 PG against Garfield and K’d 12 in a five-inning no-hitter against 
Crestview. Went 7-for-7 with four home runs, seven runs and seven RBI in
 the two wins. Also went 2-for-3 with a home run, triple, two RBI and 
two runs in a 17-6 win over Crestview. Batting .733 with 25 runs, 24 BI 
and 11 HRs. Is 9-0 with a 0.61 ERA and 97 Ks in 46 
innings.

& FieldSenior won four events (100, 100H, 
300H and 1,600 Relay) at the Gibsonburg Invitational en route to leading

 trifecta at the Fostoria Athletic Booster Invitational this past 
weekend winning the 1600, 800 and 3200 meter runs
handily, while also anchoring her team's 800 relay team to third.

BaseballSenior struck out 17 in a 4-1 win over 
Liberty Christian Academy and 16 in a 2-1 win over Fisher Catholic. Is 
5-1 this season with a 1.13 ERA and 86 Ks (ranks second in Ohio). Owns a
 15-2 career record with a 1.15 ERA and 231 
Ks.

Tyson Pryor, Indian Valley (Gnadenhutten) Boys Track 
& FieldFirst-year competitor and senior 
cleared 6-7 in the high jump to set school and meet records en route to 
winning the Thrilla in Zorvilla.
* Camryn Spruell, Hillsboro 
SoftballJunior and Ball State recruit struck out 20 
of the 21 batters she faced, pitched a perfect game and hit a home run 
in an 8-0 win over Miami Trace. Also K’d 12 in a 5-0 over MT. Is 15-1 
this season with a 0.70 ERA and 249

* Carly Thiel, Sycamore (Cincinnati) Girls 
LacrosseSenior had 11 goals in a win over Lakota 
East and five goals in a win over Springboro.  Has 81 goals 
this season and 251 for her 
career. 
* Avery  Mueller, Sheridan (Thornville) 
SoftballSenior became the program’s all-time hits 
leader with two in a win opver River view to give her 189. Since then 
has added six more hits win wins voer River View, New Lexington and 
Morgan. Batting .518 with 40 runs, 22 RBI, 11 doubles, six home runs and
 three triples.  
* Kali Wallace, 
Claymont (Uhrichsville) Girls Track 
& FieldFreshman completed the rare distance 
triple by winning the 800, 1600 and 3200 at the Dan Adams Invitational 
at Muskingum University. 
* Brady Kaufman, Tri-Valley (Dresden) 
BaseballJunior struck out 15, walked one and allowed
 one hit in an 8-0 win over Meadowbrook. Is 6-0 this season with a 0.00 
ERA, 62 KS and four walks in 31 
innings.

FieldFreshman set the school record and won a 
Division III district title in the discus with a heave of 
171-8. 
* Payton Mayfield, Milton-Union (West Milton) Boys Track 
& FieldJunior won four events – 100, 200, 
400 and long jump – at the Three Rivers Conference 
meet. 
* Hayden Jenkins, Carrollton 
BaseballSenior struck out 18 of the 22 batters he 
faced and allowed one hit in a win over East Liverpool. Also threw threw
 a no-hitter and K’d 11 of 17 in a win over Minerva. His 96 Ks this 
season ranks third in 
Ohio.

LacrosseSenior reached 100 career goals with five in
 a win over Gilmour Academy. Also had six goals in a win over St. 
Vincent-St. Mary. Has 43 goals and 14 assists this 
season. 
* Isabelle Pohmer, Olentangy Liberty (Powell) Girls 
LacrosseSenior had 15 points in wins over Findlay 
and Thomas Worthington. Has scored 118 points (with 87 goals) this 
season. Has 237 career goals and 310 
points. 
* Macy Chamberlin, Evergreen (Metamora) 
SoftballSenior surpassed 60 career home runs with 
two in a win over Port Clinton. Ranks second nationally in slugging 
percentage (2.037), sixth in on-base percentage (.862) and 21st in 
batting average (.759). A .698 lifetime batter with 137 RBI, 133 runs, 
61 HRs and 30 doubles.
* Jordan Dyer, Pickerington North Boys 
VolleyballJunior had 24 kills in a win over 
Olentangy Berlin and 18 kills in a loss to Olentangy Liberty. Finished 
season with 281 kills and 116 digs. Has 416 career kills and 223 
digs.
