Durango Fall Classic is arguably the toughest high school volleyball tournament in the country and should dramatically alter the MaxPreps Top 25 when the winner is crowned Saturday.
The 64-team field includes 13 nationally-ranked programs, including No. 1

Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.), No. 3
Assumption (Louisville, Ky.), No. 4
Orangewood Christian (Maitland, Fla.), No. 6
Xavier College Prep (Phoenix, Ariz.), No. 8
Prestonwood Christian (Plano, Texas), No. 9
Cornerstone Christian (San Antonio, Texas) and No. 10
Harrisburg (S.D.).
Sierra Canyon is looking for its first title at the event while Assumption has won the tournament six times and Mater Dei five.
Before heading to Las Vegas for Durango, Assumption tuned up with a tournament win in the Louisville Invitational, beating No. 25
Mother McAuley (Chicago, Ill.) 26-24, 25-20 in the gold bracket championship match.
