It's man versus machine right now at the top. All computer rankings have IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) at No.1 overall while all human generated polls have Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.). The Monarchs edge out the Ascenders, however, in the composite rankings.
Brentwood Academy of Tennessee joined this week's Top 25 as they moved to No. 11 in USA Today's Expert rankings.
Only schools recognized by two or more media outlets are eligible for
inclusion in the composite rankings. Teams were assigned a score of 40
for each media outlet that did not recognize them as part of their Top
25, rewarding teams that received consensus acclaim.
