Reece Jenkin was diagnosed in December and battled through treatment while continuing to coach the Colfax boys team around appointments with doctors. In addition to Allie and Adrik, Reece is survived by his wife Breanne and 15-year-old son Ryker.
Media reports said the school requested "business as usual" in the 2B regional contests as the girls beat
Okanogan 61-48 and the boys downed
Liberty Bell (Winthrop) 96-47 to improve to 25-0 on the season.

"What would Reece do? Reece would play basketball. And he would coach
his butt off," Colfax girls coach Jordan Holmes
told the Spokane Spokesman-Review. "And he would teach his kids to fight like
hell."
Allie, a freshman, scored all 29 of her team's first-half points Friday as the Bulldogs led 29-26 at intermission.
"That's just who Allie is," Holmes told the paper. "She said, ‘I'm not missing a game. My dad doesn't want me missing a game.' "
Adrik had 14 in the first period and 21 at halftime with five 3-pointers. In the second half, the Vanguard University commit reached the career 2,000-point plateau before finishing with 34.
“Obviously it’s been not a fun day, but to end it like that and hit that big milestone on the day of his passing, it meant a lot,” Adrik told the newspaper. “It’s a mixture of happiness and sadness. He’s happy and healthy now. It’s tough not having him down here anymore. Having that picture and memorial of him on the bench was a lot. It was super good to see him there. He was still with us, at least spiritually. It’s been a day.”
Both teams advance to the state tournament beginning Wednesday in Spokane.
Colfax boys assistant coach Ben Aune summed up how special the performances of Allie and Adrik were.
"I couldn’t imagine going through this at 15, 16 years old – let alone
being in Adrik's shoes," he told the paper. "And then come out today and put up
34 points. And to see (Allie) come out and score 41? That's literally
stuff you see in movies. It's absolutely unreal how those two kids
performed today. I couldn't be more proud of them."
