The stage is set for one of the biggest high school football games of the 2022 season as No. 2 St. Frances Academy (Baltimore) faces No. 10 IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) on Nov. 18 at the University of Maryland. The Panthers have won 16 games in a row and are 8-0 this season with four wins coming against teams that are currently in our expanded
top 100.
The Ascenders have won seven straight after a season-opening 20-14 loss against No. 3 Central (Miami). The only win for them against a team in our top 100 was
Central (Phenix City, Ala.) on Sept. 23.
This will be the fourth meeting between the two national powers. St. Frances Academy has won two of three. They are the only team in the country that has played more than one game against IMG Academy that has a winning record against them.
Los Alamitos (Calif.) and Mission Viejo (Calif.) are the only two new teams to join the MaxPreps Top 25 after advancing to the CIF Southern Section Division 1 semifinals.

Long Beach Poly (Long Beach, Calif.) its first loss of the season with a 52-42 win. Senior running back

Kadin Semonza completed 21 of 33 passes for 312 yards and two scores. He also caught a touchdown from
Mikey Matthews. Matthews and
Eddy Schultz combined for 15 receptions, 240 yards and two touchdowns. Mission Viejo faces No. 4 St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) on Nov. 18 at Panish Family Stadium.
