North Providence's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Sunday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over St. Raphael Academy. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.
Not much got past Kris Pacific, who gave up just four hits and racked up six Ks to keep St. Raphael Academy off the board.

Roman went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI, while Allard got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave Roman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gabe Ramirez, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Smithfield ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They skirted past Coventry 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Sentinels have posted against the Oakers since May 17, 2021.
Jacob Sylvester was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run was his first of the season. Luke Dwyer was another key player, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases.
