Murray has thrown for 910 yards and helped the Mountaineers to a 2-1 record. Against Pickens on Aug. 25, the signal caller put up 462 yards and four touchdowns in a 44-37 shootout win.
Sophomore
Chase Dupree of
Southwest (Macon) is second with 875 passing yards. He has topped the 300-yard mark in two of three games this season.
Freshman
Teddy Jarrard of
North Cobb Christian (Kennesaw) is in the state’s top 20 with 675 passing yards. The first-year signal caller has completed 62.7 percent of his passes for the 2-1 Eagles.
