The Hershey Trojans will play host again and welcome the Red Lion Lions, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Friday, Hershey was the victim of a tough 49-29 defeat at the hands of Lower Dauphin. Hershey has not had much luck with Lower Dauphin recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, Red Lion's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 45-31 bruising from Dallastown. While losing is never fun, Red Lion can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 371st, while Dallastown is ranked 69th).
Red Lion's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Julia Sedora, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds, and Grace Masser who scored nine points. Sedora scored a full 35.5% of Red Lion's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Red Lion struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Hershey bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.1 points per game. As for Red Lion, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
