Texas high school football scores: No. 6 Carroll scores comeback win at No. 7 Guyer

Down 14-0, visiting and sixth-ranked Carroll (Southlake) put the ball into the hands Quinn Ewers, who accounted for six touchdowns leading the Dragons to a 46-34 win at seventh-ranked No. 7 Guyer (Denton) in the Texas Top 25 Game of the Week on Friday. 

Ewers completed a 9-yard pass to Blake Smith late in the first half to give Carroll its first lead 25-21. Another 30-yard connection with Smith, this one on a 30-yard touchdown, made it 32-21 putting Carroll back in control.

The other big game of the night, was No. 2 Katy holding on to a 35-30 win at Tompkins thanks to 33 carries for 173 yards and two touchdowns from Ronald Hoff, two long touchdowns by Jordan Patrick and two scores by quarterback Bronson McClelland.
