National home run leader
Thomas Dillard transferred from Briarcrest Christian (Eads, Tenn.) to
Oxford (Miss.) to help the Chargers win another Class 5A state championship.
Mission accomplished.
One of the top catching prospects in the nation, Dillard hit two home runs in Oxford's championship matchup against Hattiesburg. The second home run ended the game via the 10-run mercy rule and gave Oxford its second-straight state title.

He entered the game in second place nationally in home runs behind Dallas Jesuit's Kyle Muller, who had 15, then came up huge when it mattered the most.
Dillard has committed to play at Ole Miss next year, but he is also expected to be taken in the early rounds of June's MLB Draft.
