There's no place like home for the Mars Fightin' Planets, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They strolled past Fox Chapel with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 50-35. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mars also won the last time the pair played on January 2nd.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mars to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mya Moore, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moore has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Vita Vargo, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Mars now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Fox Chapel, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.
Mars will head out on the road to take on Armstrong at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Armstrong is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games. As for Fox Chapel, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hampton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hampton will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
