The McGuffey Highlanders put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 53-43 win over Fort Cherry. That's another feather in the cap for McGuffey, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Taylor Schumacher continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was her ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Ewig, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
McGuffey's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Fort Cherry, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
McGuffey's homestand continues as they prepare to take on South Park at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
