Nicholas Andrade of
Moorpark is this week's MaxPreps California High School Football Player of the
Week. Andrade received nearly 57 percent of the total voting in a flurry of late activity.
The 6-foot-3, 225 pound defensive tackle logged logged five sacks, two tackles for loss and one hurry in a 56-28 win over Agoura. For the season, Andrade has 8.0 sacks, 37 tackles and 13 tackles for loss for the 9-1 Musketeers.

Sawyer Hokanson,
University Prep (Redding): Senior quarterback was 17 of 24 passing for 303 and four touchdowns while only playing the first half of a 47-14 win over Yreka.

Nordhoff (Ojai): Senior running back went for 362 yards on 42 carries and four scores in a 28-24 win over Carpinteria.

Orange: Senior running back ran for 361 yards on 49 carries and two scores in a 14-0 win over Santa Ana.

Shawn Pringle,
Los Angeles: Senior athlete ran for 239 yards on nine carries and four touchdowns in a 50-7 win over Sotomayor (Los Angeles).

Jerod Bubba Smith,
Fowler: Junior quarterback threw for 364 yards and five touchdowns on 25 of 36 passing in a 37-35 loss to Caruthers. He also ran for 45 yards.

Kearny (San Diego): Senior quarterback threw for 469 yards and four touchdowns on 35 of 45 passing in a 37-7 win over Canyon Hills (San Diego).

Herschel Turner Jr.,
Mt. Diablo (Concord): Senior running back went for 300 yards on 14 carries and four touchdowns in a 48-36 win over Concord.

Peyton Waters,
Birmingham (Lake Balboa): Senior athlete had four touchdowns in an 83-6 win over Taft (Woodland Hills). Waters returned two punts for scores and 103 yards, and added a pair of TD receptions.
