The Branham Bruins will head out to challenge the Aragon Dons at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, Branham made easy work of Gunn and carried off an 11-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bruins.
Marcus Price made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Price was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Branham got a massive performance out of Trent Rocha, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Ethan Vietvu, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Branham hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gunn struck out nine times.
Aragon let Lynbrook stack four runs on them in the third inning on Saturday but luckily Aragon prevailed anyway. The Dons skirted past the Vikings 5-4.
Kai Thornton was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Potter, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
