Mar Vista had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Castle Park Trojans by a score of 7-4. That's two games straight that the Mariners have won by exactly three runs.

The team relied heavily on JAKE LESLIE, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. DOMINIC PARRA was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one double.

The win got Mar Vista back to even at 12-12. As for Castle Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Coincidentally, Mar Vista and Castle Park will both be playing Chula Vista the next time they take the field. The Trojans will head out to face the Spartans at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Mariners will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
