Lutheran came out on top against Discovery Canyon on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Lions never let the Thunder get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Lutheran is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Discovery Canyon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
