After losing to the Clarion Area Bobcats the last time they met, the Ridgway Elker decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Ridgway put the hurt on Clarion Area with a sharp 44-22 win on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Ridgway.
Clarion Area's loss came despite strong showings from Marley Kline and Sophie Babington. Kline scored 6 points, while Babington scored 6 points.
Ridgway's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Clarion Area, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgway will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Smethport at 6:00 p.m. on January 10, 2024. As for Clarion Area, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against North Clarion at 7:30 p.m.
