Lincoln-Way West's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Crete-Monee 10-0.
Luke Stoner made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Stoner was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

Meanwhile, Normal Community put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's sixth consecutive shutout on Monday. They put the hurt on Bloomington with a sharp 12-0 win.
Not much got past Kyle Glass, who gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks to keep Bloomington off the board.
At the plate, Normal Community got a big performance out of Gavin Michaels, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Heineman, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Lincoln-Way West's victory bumped their record up to 22-7. As for Normal Community, their win bumped their record up to 30-2.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Lincoln-Way West hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Normal Community struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs.
