 the Week awards during the 2022-23 school year.
 
 Each week during the season, there will be 
a fan-generated contest to tab weekly 
winners. Each winner receives a letter and award 
patch for their varsity jacket.  
How does it 
work? Nominees are selected from 
statistics submitted on MaxPreps. Coaches who do not have current access may
 request their free account here. 
Weekly finalists are released on MaxPreps every 
Tuesday and voting is conducted in a special poll. 
Voting ceases at noon on Mondays. The winners are announced the next day
 along with the next week's nominees. 
Participants may vote as many 
times as they want. It's a competition. 
This past week, over 225,000 votes were cast. So 
far 
this season over 4.3-million votes have been cast.

points, 12 rebounds and five assists in a 59-10 win over Cristo Rey. 
Averaging 21.7 points, 14.4 rebounds, 4.7 steals, 3.3 assists and 2.8 
blocks.  
* Carson Myers, River Valley (Caledonia) Boys 
BasketballSenior had 37 points and 16 rebounds in an
 84-60 win over Galion and 21 points and 13 rebounds in a 61-43 win over
 Jonathan Alder. Averaging 20.8 points, 10.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists 
per game.  
* Maverick Smith, Huntington (Chillicothe) Wrestling 
Junior won the 157-pound title at Alexander’s 
22-team RJ Sochia Memorial Tournament with five pins (four in the first 
period).  
* Matteo Fortuna, Brookfield Boys 
BasketballJunior had a triple-double (19 points, 19 
rebounds and 12 assists) in an 81-61 win over Champion. Averaging 18 
points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 3.1 steals.

Also had 21 points, nine rebounds and three assists in an 85-63 win over Lake Catholic. Averaging 22.6 points and 7.4 rebounds.  
* Kara McFadden, Harding (Fairport Harbor, Ohio) Girls BasketballSenior hit 10, seven, seven and five 3s en route to 38, 32, 23 and 31 points in losses to Mathews and Windham and wins over Christian Community and Horizon Science Academy, respectively. Averaging 27.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 3.9 steals.  
* Sean Register Jr, North (Eastlake) Boys BasketballJunior had 33 points, 15 rebounds and four assists in a 73-65 loss to Beachwood and 31 points and 16 rebounds in a 68-51 loss to Euclid. Also had 29 points, 13 rebounds and four assists in a 56-55 loss t Madison. Averaging 27.8 points and 14 rebounds.  
* Carlie Osborne, Buckeye Valley (Delaware) Girls BasketballJunior had had 10 points, 10 assists and six steals in a 54-25 win over Columbus Academy and 13 assists, six rebounds and five steals in a 55-24 win over KIPP Columbus. Averaging 5.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 3.6 steals.  
* Chandler Starks, Anderson (Cincinnati) Boys BasketballSenior followed up a triple-double (14 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds) in a 66-38 win over Harrison with three double-doubles in wins over Walnut Hills (26 points, 11 rebounds and five assists), West Clermont (13 points and 10 rebounds) and Western Brown (18 points and 10 rebounds). Averaging 12.8 points, 11 rebounds and 5.6 assists.  
* Tomi Hinkle, Fairland (Proctorville) Girls BasketballSenior had a triple-double (13 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds) in a 77-37 win over Portsmouth. Also had 10 points, four rebounds, four assists and four steals in a 56-37 win over Cincinnati Country Day. Averaging 11.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.4 steals.  
* Sal Palmisano, Mayfield WrestlingJunior won the 120-pound title at the Green Bulldog Brawl with four first period pins and one in the second.  
* Peyton Mounce, Urbana Girls BasketballSophomore had 25 points, 14 rebounds and six assists in a 60-27 win over Graham Local and 16 points, 21 rebounds and four assists in a 44-31 win over Benjamin Logan.
