University put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Sterling Tigers 14-1. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.
Jasi Cole made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in October of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kendall Dietz was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Kenzie Wyatt was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
University hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 18 consecutive matches dating back to last season.
University's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Sterling, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
