Finally, high school football. Utah kicked off its season this week and nationally ranked Corner Canyon (Draper) rolled to a 49-20 win over Farmington to extend its winning streak to 27.
Three-star quarterback
Jaxson Dart made his Chargers debut and he completed 14-of-15 passes in the first half alone for over 200 yards and accounted for five total touchdowns. It was 49-0 in the third quarter before the back-to-back state champs pulled its starters.
The game of the week did not live up to the hype as Lone Peak (Highland) handed Timpview (Provo) its first shutout loss since 2006 with a 24-0 victory.
Siale Tahi had a monster night accounting for all three touchdowns and made the play of the weekend with a one-handed interception.
