On Saturday, Hoover came up short against Serra and fell 52-43.
Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jada Moore, who scored nine points along with 13 rebounds and two blocks. Moore is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Myesha Frank, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Serra's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaicia Snelson, who scored 16 points. Jadah Foster was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Hoover's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Serra, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Hoover will be playing in front of their home fans against Crawford at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Crawford is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Serra, they will face off against Brentwood School at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Brentwood School's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games.
