Jackson County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. Everything went their way against the Flowery Branch Falcons as they made off with a 36-13 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Daylan Maxwell and Jayson Lee. Maxwell gained 177 total yards while Lee rushed for 61 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

Jackson County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August of 2024.
Defeat or not, Flowery Branch got some senior leadership from Brett Strum and Tre Shields.
