This season hasn't been kind to the Neligh-Oakdale Warriors, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. They were the victim of a tough 58-37 loss at the hands of Creighton on Friday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Neligh-Oakdale in their matchups with Creighton: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was jayce gadeken, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds. Gadeken scored a full 37.8% of Neligh-Oakdale's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Hailey Horstmann, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
Neligh-Oakdale's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Creighton, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Neligh-Oakdale will square off against St. Mary's on Tuesday. St. Mary's is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Creighton, they will head out on the road to face off against Osmond/Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Osmond/Randolph comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
