Chester hasn't had much luck against Steeleville recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Yellowjackets will host the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Chester is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
On Wednesday, Chester got the win against Hillsboro by a conclusive 15-1.
Trayton Peters made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. He is becoming a predictor of Chester's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 6-1 (and 6-12 when he doesn't). Peters was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.
