The Moorpark Musketeers will square off against the Laguna Beach Breakers at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Moorpark will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Moorpark is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over Monrovia.
TANNER STOTTS made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

In other batting news, Moorpark let BLAKE GUY and DIEGO MAGANA run wild. GUY went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double, while MAGANA went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those three RBI gave MAGANA a new career-high. Another player making a difference was AJ MAI, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Moorpark was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Laguna Beach beat Woodbridge 7-2 on Tuesday.
The team relied heavily on Dylan Yencho, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Jacob Wicker was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Moorpark's record is now 21-9. As for Laguna Beach, their record now sits at 18-11.
