The Liberty Lions will venture away from home to square off against the Northgate Broncos at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
On Tuesday, Liberty made easy work of Washington and carried off a 10-2 win. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.
Mateo Morrison looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Chayce Formosa, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Colt Houston also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Liberty kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Washington only managed five.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, Northgate made sure to put some runs up on the board against Campolindo on Tuesday. The Broncos blew past the Cougars 17-11. Considering the Broncos' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Northgate let Cole Torrey and Luke Dress run wild. Torrey got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Dress got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Shane Malloy, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.
Liberty's record is now 8-0. As for Northgate, their record now sits at 6-2.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Liberty hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. However, it's not like Northgate struggles in that department as they've averaged .323. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
