The Clarion Area Bobcats were the 41-36 winner over the Ridgway Elker when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Clarion Area's tough 44-22 defeat to Ridgway on Saturday might stick with them for a while.
Marley Kline and Sophie Babington certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Kline scored 6 points, while Babington scored 6 points.
Clarion Area's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Ridgway, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clarion Area will take on North Clarion at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ridgway will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Smethport at 6:00 p.m. on January 10, 2024.
