Sailor Powell made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Cooper Riner was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Richard Braddy was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
David Emanuel Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Vidalia Heritage Academy entered their tilt with Heritage Preparatory on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Rams. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly five runs.
Trevor White was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. White was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Vidalia Heritage Academy is undefeated when White posts two or more runs, but 8-10 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jake Adams, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI. He continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Levi McDade, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
David Emanuel Academy's record is now 19-11. As for Vidalia Heritage Academy, their record now sits at 14-10.
