The Tri-Valley Bulldogs have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They strolled past Weatherly with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 36-21. That's another feather in the cap for Tri-Valley, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Grace Header, who scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cassie Huntzinger, who scored nine points.
When it comes to explaining why Weatherly lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bethany Houser. Despite the final result, she scored eight points.
Tri-Valley's win ended a 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-19. As for Weatherly, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-17.
Tri-Valley won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Nativity BVM at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th. Nativity BVM and Tri-Valley are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads. Weatherly does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
