There's no place like home for Grand Island Central Catholic, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against Duchesne/Roncalli on Thursday as they made off with a 14-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Kendall Posey made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 18 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in September.

In other batting news, Grand Island Central Catholic got a massive performance out of Jocelyn Price, who went 3-for-5 with three runs and three RBI. That's the most runs Price has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Eva Tibbetts, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs.

Grand Island Central Catholic hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 6-2 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Grand Island Central Catholic now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Duchesne/Roncalli, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season.

Grand Island Central Catholic has already played their next game, a 15-3 defeat against Skutt Catholic on the 9th. Duchesne/Roncalli does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
