Steven Heise's Rushing Yards a New Career-High
Starting off the list is Oil City's Steven Heise, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Heise rushed for 188 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
For the year, Heise has run in 6 touchdowns while averaging 53.2 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after nine games last season, he was only averaging 1.11 rushing yards per game.

Lawrence Came Up Big in Meadville's 56-7 Victory
Jordan Lawrence put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in November of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns. Meadville is 4-1 when Lawrence posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.
Unfortunately for Warren, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Lawrence. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Lawrence saw the Dragons), he rushed for 223 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.

DaZarie Carson put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in August on Friday. He rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.
Cathedral Prep moved to 6-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. Carson and Cathedral Prep have the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome Farrell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Zietz Made His Presence Known in General Mclane's 39-32 Defeat
General McLane was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Isaac Zietz did his best to prevent it. Zietz turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 256 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 35 yards and two touchdowns.
Zietz is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Meadville on Thursday. Last Thursday (the last time Zietz saw the Bulldogs), he threw for 191 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown.

Teige Berger Makes It Two for General Mclane
Keeping Zietz company is Teige Berger, a fellow General McLane player. He rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 42 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Berger and General McLane will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Meadville at 7:00 p.m. on November 8th. Berger will face off against Bradyn Miller, the Bulldogs' star RB. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.
