Softball Recap: Scottsbluff Wins Going Away Against Alliance

Scottsbluff's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Alliance Bulldogs 16-3. The Bearcats haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Danielle Watters looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, Loural McCoy and Anna Hafner did most of the damage at the plate: McCoy went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double, while Hafner went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and two runs. Those three RBI gave McCoy a new career-high. Danielle Hunter was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Scottsbluff kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alliance only managed six hits.

Scottsbluff now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Alliance, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Scottsbluff beat the Bulldogs by a score of 12-0 on Saturday.
