The Brighton Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Centaurus Warriors at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Brighton comes in on three and Centaurus on 11.
While Brighton's win against Northglenn wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Norsemen on Thursday.

Laikyn Lanzen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Suki Mizunaga was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double. Ella McHugh was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Ten must be Centaurus' lucky number: they beat Arvada with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Warriors came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 10-7. Centaurus' win was all the more impressive since the Bulldogs were averaging only 3.29 runs allowed on the season.
The team relied heavily on Noble Paw, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Emery Fannin also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Brighton's record now sits at 12-6. As for Centaurus, their record is now 18-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Brighton has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Centaurus struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Brighton's way against Centaurus when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Brighton made off with a 15-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
