In Tuesday's league outing, the McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) basketball squad edged the host North Buncombe Black Hawks (Weaverville, NC), by a count of 84-83.

The Titans (6-7) will now prepare for their outing against Enka (Enka, NC). The Jets go into the 3A/4A Conference 53 outing with a 12-2 record. In their last outing, Enka held off West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC), 67-62, in a non-league outing.
