North Carolina High School Basketball - Garinger overwhelmed by Independence

January 3, 2025: Charlotte, NC 28227

In Friday's league test, the Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) basketball squad trounced the visiting Garinger Wildcats (Charlotte, NC), by a score of 93-26.

Next, the Patriots encounter the Providence Panthers (Charlotte, NC) in a 4A Southwestern test, on Tuesday, January 7. Independence will attempt to improve on its 11-2 season record. The Panthers come into the test with a 2-11 record after their 64-63 non-league loss to Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC).

The Wildcats (1-10) will now prepare for their test against Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC). The Cougars come into the 4A Southwestern test with a 11-3 record. In their last test, Charlotte Catholic bounced Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC), 74-60, in a league test.
