The McDonough Rams basketball squad (Pomfret, MD), was nudged 63-57 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Leonardtown Raiders (Leonardtown, MD)

With the victory, Leonardtown advances its record to 6-2 on the year. The Raiders host Chopticon (Morganza, MD) to meet the Braves in a Southern Maryland battle on Friday, January 10. The Braves enter the battle with a record of 3-6. Chopticon lost 66-55 in their recent non-league battle against Gwynn Park (Brandywine, MD)

The Rams now own a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Thomas Stone for a Southern Maryland battle on Friday, January 10. McDonough will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 64-52 non-league win over Bladensburg (Bladensburg, MD). The Cougars record now stands at 3-4.
