January 4, 2022: New Home, TX 79383 The Sands Mustangs ran past the host New Home Leopards basketball team by a final score of 43-34 in Tuesday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Mustangs face the Garden City Bearkats (Garden City, TX) in a 1A Region I District 8 game, on Friday, January 7. Sands will attempt to move on its 20-3 season record. The Bearkats enter the game with a 6-13 record after their 46-33 non-league win over Balmorhea (Balmorhea, TX).
With the defeat, New Home moves to 17-6 on the year. The Leopards host Post (Post, TX) to face the Antelopes in a 2A Region I District 6 game on Friday, January 7. The Antelopes enter the game with a record of 8-5.
