Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Penns Manor can't hold off Portage

January 4, 2023: Clymer, PA 15728

The Portage Mustangs basketball team scored 67 points and held the host Penns Manor Comets to 65 in the Mustangs league triumph on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now have a 11-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Purchase Line for a non-league match on Friday, January 6. Portage will face a Red Dragons team coming off a 61-53 non-league win over Blacklick Valley (Nanty Glo, PA). The Red Dragons record now stands at 2-10.

With the defeat, Penns Manor moves to 5-4 on the year. The Comets travel to Cambria Heights (Patton, PA) to face the Highlanders in a Heritage match on Friday, January 6. The Highlanders enter the match with a record of 5-6. Cambria Heights won 48-33 in their recent league match against Northern Cambria (Northern Cambria, PA)
