The West Shamokin Wolves basketball team (Rural Valley, PA), was routed 62-41 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Portage Mustangs (Portage, PA)

The Mustangs now sport a 9-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Richland for a non-league battle on Friday, December 30. Portage will battle a Rams team coming off a 59-33 non-league win over Homer-Center (Homer City, PA). The Rams record now stands at 3-4.
