Pennsylvania High School Basketball - West Shamokin nips Purchase Line

December 16, 2022: Commodore, PA 15729

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the West Shamokin Wolves (Rural Valley, PA) and the host Purchase Line Red Dragons (Commodore, PA), saw West Shamokin's basketball squad hold off Purchase Line by a tally of 41-40.

With the victory, West Shamokin improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Marion Center (Marion Center, PA) to play the Stingers in a Heritage challenge on Thursday, December 22. The Stingers come into the challenge with a record of 1-5.

Next up, the Red Dragons play the Northern Cambria Colts (Northern Cambria, PA) in a Heritage challenge, on Tuesday, December 20. Purchase Line will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Colts come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 52-33 league loss to United (Armagh, PA).
