January 4, 2024: Germantown, MD 20874 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Gaithersburg Trojans (Gaithersburg, MD) and the host Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles (Germantown, MD), saw Gaithersburg's basketball squad overcome Seneca Valley by a tally of 64-51.
With the victory, Gaithersburg improves its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Northwest (Germantown, MD) to play the Jaguars in a Montgomery 4A West challenge on Monday, January 8. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 5-4. Northwest lost 53-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Paint Branch (Burtonsville, MD)
Next up, the Screamin' Eagles play the Clarksburg Coyotes (Clarksburg, MD) in a Montgomery 4A West challenge, on Monday, January 8. Seneca Valley will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Coyotes come into the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 58-26 non-league loss to Quince Orchard (Gaithersburg, MD).
